Palo Alto: Woman killed in single-vehicle motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist died after she drove into a pole late Thursday in Palo Alto, according to authorities.

Several calls to the Palo Alto police at about 10:15 p.m. reported a motorcyclist down on San Antonio Road at Nita Avenue, a block east of Alma Street.

Investigators found that the motorcyclist was eastbound on San Antonio when she left the roadway and struck a pole. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

First responders took the victim to a hospital. She was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. Friday.

The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner later identified the woman as Leslie Buenrostro, 21, of East Palo
