SANTA CLARA — The 49ers’ last pursuit for Super Bowl glory was blocked when they failed to beat the Los Angeles Rams for a third time last season.
They’ll try that trick again Saturday against a different NFC West counterpart when they host the Seattle Seahawks to open the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs.
