Inflation looks vastly different between these two beachside metropolises. The pace of home construction has been a deciding factor for both regions.
The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater region in Florida recently saw the lowest inflation rate among 23 metropolitan areas across the country — 1.8% in the 12 months that ended in May, according to data from the Consumer Price Index.
