In recent days it’s seemed like there’s a greater chance that Americans will be blocked from using the popular app TikTok. A ban wouldn’t be simple and could have implications far beyond our phones.

The White House has announced that it supports a bipartisan Senate bill that would give the president the power to ban the Chinese-owned app. But is the super-popular video app actually going to be banned?
