Over 158,000 Bay Area customers were without power Wednesday morning, a day after fearsome winds hit 97 mph and wreaked havoc on powerlines throughout the region.
Many customers, particularly in the South Bay, could wait a day or more for power to be restored. Much of the East Bay, San Francisco, and the North Bay should see their power restored sometime Wednesday.
