Maduro says he will block X in Venezuela for 10 days, after spat with Musk over contested election | CNN Business

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has said he’s taking steps to ban the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, in the country for 10 days, after a public dispute with its owner Elon Musk over the contested election that Maduro claimed to have won.

The embattled Maduro said Thursday that he’d signed a proposal with the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) to take the social network out of circulation, and accused Musk of violating the rules of the social platform by inciting “hatred, fascism (and) civil war.”
