Police Make Arrest in Deadly San Francisco House Fire and Explosion

San Francisco police announced Friday night that they arrested a 53-year-old suspect in a deadly house fire and explosion in the city’s Sunset District.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday, San Francisco police officers and investigators located the suspect in the unit block of Newhall Street and developed probable cause to arrest him.

The suspect, identified as Darron Price of San Francisco, was booked into San Francisco County Jail for the felony charges of involuntary manslaughter, manufacturing narcotics and two counts of child endangerment.

The fire happened Thursday morning in the 1700 block of 22nd Avenue.
