Get ready to see a double meteor shower featuring one of the biggest and brightest meteor showers of the year, the Perseids! In addition to the Perseids, the Southern Delta Aquariids continue to be active in August while the Perseids peak, creating a double meteor shower that those in the northern hemisphere will be able to enjoy in all its glory. (It might be difficult, though not impossible, for those in the southern hemisphere to see some Perseids and thus the double shower; the Southern Delta Aquariids, however, will be more prominent in the southern than in the northern hemisphere.)
