The US stock market on Friday hit an all-time high, its first since mid-February. It marked the culmination of a remarkable recovery on Wall Street since the S&P 500 was flirting with bear market territory in early April.
The S&P 500 gained 0.5%, to close at a record 6,173.07. It marked the first new record high since February 19.
