Wayfair and 8×8 prep job cuts in Bay Area in fresh tech layoffs

CAMPBELL — Wayfair and 8×8 have joined a fresh round of tech companies laying off workers by revealing plans to jettison a combined 135 jobs in the Bay Area, official state filings show.

With the new filings, along with disclosures of wide-ranging layoffs by Google and others, tech and biotech staffing reductions could loom over the Bay Area for months to come.
