The White House on Friday released its long-awaited national artificial intelligence legislative framework, a move to prevent states from enacting their own laws and enforce the Trump administration’s light-touch approach to AI regulation.
The framework stems from an executive order President Donald Trump signed in December that blocked states from enforcing their own regulations around artificial intelligence and covers a broad spectrum of AI concerns, from data centers to AI scams.
The White House’s framework could have far-reaching effects on US efforts to dominate AI, which is starting to play a bigger role in everything from jobs to the stock market and the way people
