Teen arrested in connection with Morgan Hill Target store robbery

MORGAN HILL – A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of flashing a handgun and threatening an employee at a Morgan Hill Target, according to police.

The incident was reported around 7:45 p.m. Monday at the store at 1061 Cochrane Road, the Morgan Hill Police Department said in a statement Friday.

Police said a loss prevention employee saw the teen leave the store without paying for several items. When confronted, the teen “displayed a handgun and made threatening statements,” police added. The employee backed off and let the teen leave.
