San Jose: Two arrested in deadly Halloween weekend shooting

SAN JOSE — Two Sunnyvale men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting Halloween weekend at a San Jose house party that elicited controversy after police said officers were too overstretched to respond to an earlier call at the same location.

Rodolfo Perez-Damian, 22, and Edgar Mauricio Merlo Martinez, 20, were arrested Dec. 21 in Sunnyvale following an investigation into the Oct. 30 shooting on Madera Avenue that claimed the life of 19-year-old Daniel Guizar, according to San Jose police.
