Review: Classic rock act shines during intimate Bay Area concert

Kevin Cronin made a promise to the audience early on during the REO Speedwagon show at the San Jose Civic on Wednesday night.

“We’re going to give you everything we’ve got,” the vocalist said.

Then he went about making good on that pledge, continuing through an energetic and compelling 90-minute show that featured plenty of great songs and an equal amount of outstanding musicianship.
