Mountain View man arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, rape

MOUNTAIN VIEW – Police over the weekend arrested a 32-year-old Mountain View man on suspicion of kidnapping and raping a woman.

On Sunday morning, a group of people including the victim flagged down a police sergeant on patrol in downtown Mountain View, the Mountain View Police Department said in a statement. The victim told the sergeant she was raped by a stranger after being separated from her husband the previous night while they were in the area.

The group had reported the woman missing but found her after she used a Good Samaritan’s phone to contact her family.
