project repeat history

An outstanding opinion by Cheryl Weiden on the proposed mining facility at Juristac and its harm to the environment (“How mining facility at Juristac would harm environment,” Page A8, Jan. 22).

Unfortunately, such projects reflect the history of our country — at all levels: federal, state and local. If a proposed project would make its developer enough money (usually many, often hundreds, of millions of dollars), it was allowed to proceed.
