Fire tears through vacant restaurant building in San Jose

A fire erupted early Saturday morning at a vacant restaurant building in San Jose, sending flames shooting through the roof as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

The two-alarm fire prompted temporary road closures around the building, which was in the 2000 block of North First Street, near Brokaw Road, according to the San Jose Fire Department. Firefighters arrived at the blaze shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, and managed to contain the flames to the building where the fire began.
