Chart: Where the wind gusts exceeded 70 mph in the Bay Area

Gusts above 80 mph were recorded in the Bay Area on Tuesday afternoon as a “bomb cyclone” storm blew through.

The highest speeds in the National Weather Service data as of 6 p.m. were 89 at Loma Prieta and 88 at Richmond’s Point Potrero.

Most of the peak gusts on the Peninsula and in the South Bay were between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Those in the Golden Gate area — including the Point Potrero blast — came about three hours later.
