Big industrial center in south San Jose gets OK for construction

SAN JOSE — A big industrial center of the type that often attracts Amazon has gotten a key go-ahead for construction through a new building permit for a development site in San Jose, public records show.

The project would consist of a logistics center, warehouse and office with addresses ranging from 5977 through 6001 Silver Creek Valley Road in south San Jose, according to city documents.

Duke Realty, acting through an affiliate, paid about $40.2 million in October 2021 for the parcels, which are near the corner of Silver Creek Valley Road and Piercy Road.
