BART Service Resumes After Track Damage Halts Transbay Trains for Hours

BART officials Friday morning reported major delays systemwide and halted transbay service for hours as crews repaired damaged tracks in downtown Oakland.

Officials reported Friday at 5:43 a.m. there was no Red Line or Green Line BART service.

By 7 a.m., officials reported limited service was restored as follows: Red, Yellow and Orange Line service was fully restored, the Blue line will be Dublin to Bay Fair and Daly City to MacArthur; and Green line trains will be canceled until repairs are completed (take the orange line).

By about 8:20 a.m., BART said train service was restored to all lines and it was recovering from major delays.
