Arrest made after deadly East San Jose shooting

San Jose police have made an arrest in connection with a Friday shooting that left one man dead, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at a residence on the 2000 block of Pepper Way, according to police. The victim walked into a local hospital at approximately 10:55 p.m. after the shooting and succumbed to their injuries the next day. An arrest was made on Saturday after evidence of the shooting was discovered at the Pepper Way residence.

The identity of the person in custody will be released in the coming days, SJPD said. It is the city’s third homicide. The motive and circumstances are still under investigation.
