Almaden Valley, Rose Garden students’ artworks reveal ‘Unarmed Truth’

“ሐቂ ከቢድ እዩ” by Pioneer High School senior Abigail Kifle is among artworks by 83 finalists in the annual ArtNow exhibition at New Museum Los Gatos, aka NUMU. NUMU’s Santa Clara County-wide high school art competition drew entries from more than 800 students on the theme of “Unarmed Truth.” The title of Kifle’s work translates from Tigrinya, a regional Ethiopian language, to “The truth is hard.”

Six students from Almaden Valley high schools and one from a Rose Garden area campus are among 83 finalists in the annual ArtNow exhibition at New Museum Los Gatos, aka NUMU.
