Oakland residents take it upon themselves to try to stop crime

As crime continues to rise in Oakland, an increasing number of people say something has to change. 

And some say they’re tired of waiting for the city to make those changes and they’re looking to do it themselves.

NBC Bay Area’s Bigad Shaban explains they’re looking at everything from private cameras to more private security.
