San Jose: Man arrested in viral-video attack on SAP Center food vendor

A man accused of a brutal beating captured in a viral video outside the SAP Center last month was arrested on suspicion of felony assault Wednesday, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The 33-year-old suspect was seen fleeing the scene while a bloodied hot dog vendor was on the ground in the video, recorded around 11:43 p.m. following a Feb. 16 concert. The vendor was hospitalized for moderate injuries following the incident, SJPD said.

The suspect was arrested Wednesday in Hayward after investigation yielded an arrest warrant. He was later released from custody after bail was posted, according to authorities.
