Branham basketball player Quinn Godfrey is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 30 to Feb. 4 after she received 33.57% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Menlo School basketball player Ruiqi Liu placed second and James Logan basketball player Kailyn Oldham finished third.

Godfrey, a junior, scored 20 points and had seven blocks during a 57-51 win over Evergreen Valley on Thursday. That was a season-high in blocks for the rim-protector who averaged 3.4 blocks per game going into that game.
