Silver Creek soccer player Nathan Yousif is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Jan. 30-Feb. 4 after he had received 47.46% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Liberty soccer player Gavin Leypon (26.13%) finished second and Monte Vista soccer player Brennan Dew took third.

Yousif accounted for both of his team’s goals in a 2-1 victory over Gunderson in Blossom Valley Athletic League West Valley Division play. The junior also scored a goal in a 3-0 victory over San Jose earlier in the week.
