One dead in West San Jose house fire

A resident in West San Jose was killed after their house caught fire on Friday night, according to fire department officials.

The fire occurred at the 2400 block of Cory Ave. at around 11 p.m., just north of the Westfield Valley Fair mall.

San Jose Fire Department did not immediately have any description of the deceased individual and said more information is forthcoming.
