Father and son hit by driver outside Mountain View library

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A man and his young son suffered minor injuries when they were hit by a driver Friday morning in Mountain View, police said.

Around 11:10 a.m., a toddler was riding a training bicycle with his father outside the Mountain View Public Library, the Mountain View Police Department said in a statement. A driver in a sedan hit them as they crossed a driveway on the south side of the building.

Police described the pair’s injuries as minor. The boy, however, was taken to an area hospital for an additional checkup.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police. Drugs and alcohol
