Advanced tech manufacturing center could sprout at San Jose site

SAN JOSE — A big center for advanced tech manufacturing could sprout at the site where a mixed-use village was once eyed in San Jose, plans filed with city officials show.

The complex would total 208,000 square feet and be located at 350 W. Trimble Road near Orchard Parkway, according to a proposal filed by LBA Realty, the property owner and developer.

LBA Realty owns a parcel totaling about 37.5 acres at that site. The proposed building would be constructed on roughly 10.4 acres of the overall site, the plans filed with city officials show.

At one time, LBA had owned about 68.1 acres on two parcels at that location.
