San Jose: Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run

SAN JOSE – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run collision Monday night in San Jose, police said.

The collision was reported at about 8:15 p.m. near Umbarger and Senter roads, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries police initially described as life-threatening. Their condition was later upgraded to stable.

No other information was immediately available.

Police said traffic in the area will be impacted and advised motorists to use alternate routes.
