Separate school threats force evacuation in Los Altos, lead to student in Pacifica

A student’s messages about bringing a gun to school led police to quick action early Friday on the Peninsula, while a bomb threat forced an evacuation at a South Bay high school several hours later.

There were no reports of injuries in either incident.

Authorities in Pacifica said in a Monday news release that a staffer at Oceana High School contacted police just before 5 a.m., saying that students had told them about texts mentioning bringing a gun to school on a message thread.
