Crews battle brush fire on San Jose-Milpitas border

Anda Chu/Bay Area News Group Firefighters on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, were battling a brush fire on the 500 block of Mill River Lane in San Jose.

SAN JOSE – Firefighters on Tuesday afternoon were battling a brush fire on the border of San Jose and Milpitas, authorities said.

The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. on the 500 block of Mill River Lane, the San Jose Fire Department said.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

No evacuation orders have been issued. Residents were being advised instead to shelter in place.
