Police seek tips on who shot girl with pellet gun in West San Jose

SAN JOSE — Police are seeking public help in narrowing down who shot a teen girl with a pellet gun as she walked along a West San Jose street with her mother last month.

In a news release Wednesday, San Jose police stated that the assault was reported at 9:25 p.m. on May 18 near Chiala Lane and Windsor Street near the city’s border with Cupertino.

The girl was walking with her mother when someone shot at them with a pellet gun, hitting the girl at least once. She was taken to the hospital with what police described as a non-life threatening injury.
