San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo opposes $2.5 billion dam project in Santa Clara County

The Santa Clara Valley Water District has proposed building a 319-foot tall dam on Pacheco Creek in Southern Santa Clara County near Highway 152 and Henry Coe State Park. The project would sit on the site of a small reservoir, first constructed in the 1930s, and shown here in October, 2020.
