Diversity has been a very hot topic over the past 12 months. Representation in the media and literature goes a long way in forming many of the subconscious biases or negative views that exist in society. Unfortunately, this lack of representation starts at a very young age as many of the books children read do not represent the diversity of the environments they grow up in.
