GILROY — California Highway Patrol officers responded after a vehicle hit a power pole that spurred a Sig-alert blocking Highway 101 lanes in both directions, authorities said Sunday.
Shortly after 5:40 p.m., CHP officers responded to northbound Hwy. 101 lanes just south of the Hwy. 25 exchange, and found a truck that at least one witness said had been weaving erratically before striking a power pole, knocking down wires and sparking a small fire nearby. There were no initial reports of injuries.
CalFire crews also responded to the scene, but no word was immediately available on size, spread or other conditions.
