SAN JOSE — Michelangelo the tortoise, a beloved preschool pet, continued to recuperate Monday after he was bludgeoned and stabbed by a homeless man.
The 65-pound tortoise that is believed to be between 40 and 70 years old underwent surgery at a San Jose animal hospital Saturday.
